Long Distance Walks

It’s not all about mountains - there are plenty of places to walk that are a bit flatter! Well ok maybe the best trails do have some hills, at least that way there’s the chance of a nice view.

Long distance trails seem to be growing in popularity. In the UK the government of the day have worked to change the law so that all of England’s coast for the first time. By 2020, a new coastal path will stretch 4500km along England’s coast, completing that would be like walking from New York to Los Angeles!

But you don’t have to wait until 2020 to explore the UK’s coast. The South West Coast Path has been open for years, and it rightly often voted one of the most beautiful trails in the world.

Since moving to Ireland I’ve also started a walk across the Emerald Isle. Contrary to popular belief it doesn’t rain all the time and the scenery is stunning.
